Workplace Readiness Program: Facilitating Successful Transitions to Community Employment

Our Workplace Readiness Program is dedicated to helping individuals develop the critical skills and abilities needed for a successful transition to community employment. This program is specifically designed to support those who require additional time to build the foundational skills necessary for workplace success. While the skills addressed may vary from person to person, our primary focus areas include communication, social interaction, safety, professionalism, collaboration, and critical thinking.

This short-term program is focused on developing the essential skills that employers look for in prospective candidates. The goal is to provide individuals with the competencies required to succeed in the workforce, while ensuring the most efficient and successful transition to community employment.

Each individual's journey to employment is unique; however, we prioritize maximizing success by addressing these core skill areas, ensuring that every participant is fully prepared to thrive in a competitive workforce.

Our Workplace Readiness Services Include:

  • Workplace Readiness Training to develop essential skills such as communication, safety, professionalism, and problem-solving for career success.
  • Social Skills Development to foster effective collaboration and communication with peers and supervisors.
  • Safety Training to ensure a thorough understanding of workplace safety protocols and practices.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving to equip individuals with the ability to overcome workplace challenges.
  • Personalized Skill Development tailored to building the competencies employers seek in job candidates.

While the path to employment may vary for each individual, our primary objective is to equip them with the necessary skills to excel in a competitive workforce. Ultimately, our goal is to facilitate a smooth, successful transition into community employment.

Workplace readiness training is available to most individuals at no cost through the NJ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) or the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). Individualized workplace readiness plans can be arranged through the DDD Supports Program.

Workplace readiness services are generally available Monday through Friday from 9:15 AM to 3:45 PM at our main location in  Flemington, NJ.
