The CEA School is committed to providing a positive school environment that enhances a student’s potential for success. Our philosophy focuses on the use of positive behavior supports to encourage fundamental changes in the lives of our students. We recognize the importance of using a person-centered approach to address multiple areas of need for each student.
The behavior support team consists of licensed social workers and a school psychologist. They play a crucial role in the emotional and physical well-being of our students. The team facilitates effective behavioral and social skills development and integration through crisis, group, and individual counseling. They work collaboratively with educators and family members to develop specific and targeted plans for students where necessary.
Our related services include speech, occupational, and physical therapy that provide further support to the student’s individual needs as outlined in his/her IEP. The speech therapist implements services that can be integrated within the school, work, or community environment. This benefits the student by being able to transfer his or her skills to other environments.
